"VOODOO MARDI GRAS" will be filmed by Los Angeles-based Director of Photography Neal L. Fredericks ("DREAMERS," "THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT," "LAUGHING DEAD").
"VOODOO MARDI GRAS" will be Zirilli and Fredericks' second feature film collaboration this year, following last summer's 35mm production of the family-themed "THE STONECUTTER" on the islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Tetiaroa. Earlier this year the two completed the music video "2 Da Curb" for Los Angeles-based rapper Playa Hamm.

Zirilli has directed and produced over 200 music videos (The Rolling Stones, Montel Jordan, Naji, Master P), as well as the 1999 urban drama feature film "WINNER TAKES ALL" and the 2001 comedy feature film "BLACK SPRING BREAK 2."

"VOODOO MARDI GRAS" is Zirilli's first venture into the horror/thriller genre. Fredericks comments: "Zirilli is allowing me to push the envelope on this one. I will be utilizing photographic and camera techniques not seen in traditional narrative feature films. The audience will get a kick out of it." Zirilli adds: "On 'THE STONECUTTER' I wanted a look which was high-end and classic and Neal gave me that. On 'VOODOO MARDI GRAS' I want to utilize Neal's unique visual ideas...he wants to break the cinematic 'rules' and I'm going to let him."

"VOODOO MARDI GRAS" is being filmed on Fuji and Kodak 16mm motion picture film stocks. ARRIFLEX camera package and ZEISS lenses by Ironhog Motion Pictures (Buena Park, CA).
